Life is demanding! Life can be crap! We do our best to cope with difficulties which arise in our home, our workplace, our family, and our other relationships.

Despite our best efforts, not everything works out as we want it to. When we’re struggling, we often don’t want to bother our family or friends with our worries. It could be a nagging feeling that something is not quite right or a major incident such as a physical or sexual assault, a car crash, or something else that keeps intruding into your thoughts.

Wouldn’t it be nice to stop thinking like this and find a way to manage these worries? You can’t change the past, but you can make the future better. The opportunity to reflect on issues and with a trained counsellor start putting them right.

My name is Alan and as a trauma counsellor, I am trained to listen to your problems in a confidential and non-judgemental way. The careful listening, attention, and support of a trained counsellor can help you discover a way through the apparently impossible problem maze and the difficult days.

Counselling can be emotionally draining and painful, but it can also be liberating and joyful. Each journey is unique, and I will be with you every step of the way and provide the support that you require. Ultimately, counselling will enable the client to regain control or gain acceptance over the issues that brought them to therapy, thereby leading to a better quality of life.

Using a therapy called Rewind, I offer counselling services for individuals, couples, and family groups. I offer face-to-face counselling services at my office near Ellesmere, Shropshire, and phone and video counselling sessions are available for clients who are further afield.
